Jonathan is currently the Programming Director at the Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall where he leads on programming shows and events into both venues and well as managing the Classical Music programming team. He also oversees the organisations output on creative learning, community engagement and heritage including the associate venue relationship with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the venue’s ever increasing archives. 

Jonathan has worked for various venues across the East Midlands for over 30 years in marketing, programming and leadership roles and passionately believes that the arts should be for everyone and that society benefits massively when arts and culture are at the centre of a community. He has also seen the transformative way that participation and engagement in the arts can work and enrich people’s lives.  Whilst Jonathan’s knowledge of commercial theatre is considerable his particular expertise is in musical theatre, drama, pantomimes and contemporary dance.
